Welcome to GLBT History Month (but then every month is with Pridelets)
On this day in 1996, The Gay and Lesbian National Hotline (now the GLBT National Help Center) launches. It is currently available Monday thru Friday from 4pm to midnight, and Saturday from Noon to 5pm, Eastern time at 1-888-THE-GLNH or http://www.glnh.org. The service is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization that is dedicated to meeting the needs of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community and those questioning their sexual orientation and gender identity.
